In Life of Tree each dress symbolises a historical and strong woman. Like Simone de Beauvoir, Florence Nightingale, Harriet Tubman, Regine Beer en Alexandrine Tinne. All these women made a significant contribution to history through their courage, strength and intelligence. The dance performance which joins the installation introduces these iconic women.
Life of Tree is more then an installation with a dance performance. It's a meeting point; a memorial. The spectator observes, listens and takes part in the performance.
